Valentine's Day Loppet - Carlton Trail
Humboldt's Carlton Trail Ski Club will be hosting their annual Valentine's Loppet on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 on their Dixon trails, 18 km NW of Humboldt. We have great snow this season and the grooming is top notch!

Checkpoints
Janzen Junction
This checkpoint is located at the Janzen Junction, which is where the Jackrabbit Trail, Tower Trail and West Trail all start and finish. At this checkpoint there will be a bon fire and warm up tent. Skiers can enjoy a warm or cold drink and snacks as well!
Rene's Rendezvous Junction
This checkpoint is located at the top of the boy scout hill on the River Trail. This is where the East Poplar loop starts and exits as well. At this checkpoint there will be a bonfire, warm and cold drinks and snacks
Post Loppet Meal
Enjoy a hearty bowl of stew and bannock catered by the Knotty Pine Bistro. (included with registration fee)
Loppet Draw Prizes
There will be a ton of draw prizes from Fresh Air Experience. Skiers and volunteers will be entered to win some amazing prizes.

Sask Cup #3 - CANCELLED
The Carlton Trail Ski Club regrets to announce the cancellation of the Sask Cup #3 Race which was postponed to Sunday Jan. 12, 2025.
As per Sask. Cup Rules, we cannot host the race when temperatures are forecast to fall below -20 degrees C. for older racers, and below -15 degrees for racers under 14 years.
The event is intended to run again next year at our Carlton Trail Ski Club Dixon Trails.
Refunds will be given if you have registered for this race or the race scheduled Jan. 5, 2025. You MUST contact our race secretary Elan Buan at: buan@sasktel.net before FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2025.
While the race has been cancelled for this year, we encourage racers and families to come out to our trails and enjoy the beautiful trails and snow conditions we have this year. Our clubhouse is open most weekends and often has food/snacks available (check our Facebook page – Carlton Trail Ski Club – Humboldt).
We thank you for your intended support, and look forward to seeing you at our Valentine’s Day Loppet on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, and at next year’s Sask Cup Race.

Sask Cup Race #3
At Carlton Trail Ski Club
Has been POSTPONED
The Race Committee has made the decision to POSTPONE the Sask Cup Races at Carlton Trail Ski Club (near Humboldt). This is due to temperature considerations which may not have allowed racers under age 12 to race at all and may have affected the older age groups and athletes.
Sask Cup Race #3 has been rescheduled to Sunday Jan.12, 2025 at the same time and location.
Registrations already made on Zone 4 for the Jan. 5 races will be honoured. This means if you have already registered for the Jan. 5 races, you are automatically registered for the races on Sunday, Jan. 12.
If you will be unable to attend the races on Jan. 12, you will be eligible for a refund, and you must contact race secretary Elan Buan by email at:
buan@sasktel.net before Thursday Jan. 9.
Any new registrants may register at zone4 .ca under Sask Cup #3, Jan. 12, 2025. Registrations will be open until 8 PM Thursday Jan. 9.
All information, and scheduling will remain the same as the original race notice with dates changed to one week advanced compared to the original dates.

CCS Day Camp in Prince Albert
The Day Camp is a dryland training camp from 9:30am to 2:30pm on Sunday, September 22 in Prince Albert for cross country ski athletes who are training for the 2024-25 race season and who fall under the U12, U14, U16, U18, U20, and U23 age categories (2014 being the youngest YOB)
