Cross Country Saskatchewan Resources for Coaches
CCS has compiled some useful resources on a Google Drive Folder - training plan templates, fitness testing, practice plans, plans for race trips, etc.
Nordiq Canada Resources for Coaches
At the centre of Nordiq Canada’s Athlete Development resources for coaches is The Matrix. It provides the development tools coaches need to create lifelong skiers and future world champions. In addition to pathway benchmarks and development standards, you have access to activities, videos, tutorials, testing protocols and more.
Respect in Sport
The Respect in Sport Activity Leader program is an online training course for coaches, sport leaders and leaders of youth in virtually any activity.
While a great number of topics are covered during this program, at the core, Respect in Sport is primarily designed as a tool to assist leaders to identify and respond to abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying.
This program is significantly different than the Respect in Sport Parent Program.

High Performance Coach Funding
The HP Coach Funding guidelines and application form is found in the High Performance Funding document. Each year coaches are eligible to apply for funding.
Nordiq Canada Coaching License
In addition to being a trained ski coach at the appropriate level, active ski coaches have the responsibility of registering for a Nordiq Canada Coaching License. Registration is FREE and done online. Link below.
The NC Coaching License comes into effect July 1st 2019, and the registration lasts for one year. Only those coaches with a valid Nordiq Canada Coaching License will benefit from Nordiq Canada’s liability insurance while performing in a coaching role with a registered cross country ski club.
